Hugely collectible Rolex 1665 Double Red Sea-Dweller watch from 1972 with the hard to find mark III dial. Amazing condition. Rolex serviced in 2012.
The watch which was a feat of engineering was first introduced in the late 1960's and is famous for its 'helium escape valve' which is still in use on Rolex's deep sea diving watches today.
The model ran for approximately 10 years and collectors agree that during this period Rolex manufactured the 1665 with 4 different dials.
Due to its size, its plastic domed 'plexi-glass' and its vintage feel the Rolex DRSD as it is commonly referred to will continue to be collected and, of the few that are available, our watch is amongst the very best.
