Do you love a Patek Philippe Nautilus as much as we do? After the growing success of the Royal Oak, Patek Philippe decided to develop a luxury sports watch with a strong design. The Nautilus collection was introduced in 1976, and was inspired by the universal shape of a porthole found on virtually all maritime vessels.
Unmistakeable quality & beauty through the years
At this time, luxury sports watches were usually as thin as possible and made of gold. The Nautilus collection debuted just as steel luxury watches became popular. Like most Patek Philippe timepieces, this watch has an understated elegance that eludes confidence, and sits subtly on the wrist. Once you take a closer look, the quality and beauty is unmistakeable.
The success of the Nautilus has led to increased love of luxury sports watches. The collection has continued to evolve over the years, and the Nautilus family expanded with model variations for men and women. The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 still remains one of the most prestigious and desirable sport watches on the market!
Forty years later, the Patek Philippe Nautlius collection has grown with timepieces in steel, rose gold, white gold or two-tone combinations. Patek Philippe says that “they accompany the most active lifestyles with incomparable class”.
We have to say that we particularly like the Nautilus Rose Gold examples! The 7118/1200R has a bezel set with 56 stunning diamonds. If you wanted to be completely dazzling, just check out the ref. 7021/1R which is fully paved with diamonds!
We often have a stunning selection of the very best second hand Patek Philippe watches. We recently had a perfect example of the Aquanaut Travel Time timepiece. Launched in 1997, the Aquanaut created a sensation. Its case is a rounded octagon, inspired by the Nautilus. It has a “Tropical” strap, made of a material ultra-resistant to wear, salt water and UV radiation. Today we have the amazing Nautilus available pictured at the top of this blog!
