Diamonds or Pearls?

Pearlmaster 39

In this weeks post, we would like to take a little look into the Rolex Lady-Datejust Pearlmaster. The Pearlmaster is Rolex’s crowning jewellery watch, and is characterised by beautiful gem settings of diamonds, sapphires or rubies. It is simply irresistible!

The Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust Pearlmaster was launched in 1992, and is a feminine interpretation of Rolex’s emblematic Datejust. It is one of the most feminine and elegant of Rolex models. The Pearlmaster Bracelet was created especially for its launch, and the five-piece links make it stand out like any high-end piece of jewellery.

The Datejust was introduced in 1945 and was the first wristwatch to display the date through an aperture on the dial. The magnifying Cyclops eye became recognised as a Rolex standard. Ever since, the Datejust has been extremely popular and an iconic choice for many enthusiasts. The Lady-Datejust Pearlmaster is a watch that is certainly fit for royalty and is even championed by Equestrian World Champion and granddaughter to the queen, Zara Phillips.

Today, the Pearlmaster is Rolex’s crowning jewellery watch. There is such a wide choice of exquisite timepieces (in many sizes) in this collection. However we would like to highlight three of our favourites!

Everose Pearlmaster

Rolex Pearlmaster 34 (ref. 81315) in everose gold.

How stunning is this model? This timepiece is so feminine, a gorgeous colour, and is just simply stunning. Rolex created and patented an exclusive 18 ct pink gold alloy cast in its own foundry: Everose gold. From 2005, 18 ct Everose was used on all Rolex Oyster models in pink gold. The diamonds stand out beautifully next to the chocolate dial on this model. We also love the fact that this model is a little smaller at 34mm.

Pearlmaster Blue dial

Another one that has really stood out for us is the Pearlmaster 34 (ref. 81319). This 18 ct white gold timepiece works beautifully with this blue dial. The dial is the distinctive face of a Rolex watch, the feature most responsible for its identity and readability. It really looks stunning on the wrist!

Last but not least for us to highlight is the Pearlmaster 34 (ref. 81298). We just love the contrast between yellow gold and black. It just looks so luxurious, especially with the black dial and diamonds. This is certainly a sparkly watch to wear, but without being overly “blingy”. There is an elegance to this collection which makes them the perfect choice! With so many to choose from, you just can’t go wrong!
